Tiles, Runs & Groups: What is The Original Rummikub About?
The Original Rummikub challenges players to be the first to clear all tiles from their rack by forming valid "sets" on the table. A set can be either a "run" (three or more consecutive numbers of the same color, e.g., Red 5, 6, 7) or a "group" (three or four tiles of the same number but different colors, e.g., Blue 8, Red 8, Black 8). You start with 14 tiles, and each turn involves either laying down new sets from your rack or, uniquely, "manipulating" existing sets on the table using tiles from your hand.
